Kyro's Corner

Kyro's Take: "You think I'd hang around a shop that does bad work? My standards are the only ones that matter, and I'm still here."

"Hey, I didn't choose the grooming life specifically. I was sitting on a shelf minding my own business when a cloud of fur sneezed on me. I decided then and there: without me, your vacuum cleaners are doomed. I'm the one doing the real work anyway. Sparky just glows and looks 'heroic'."

The Unwritten Rules of the Forge

Established by the Shadow. Ignored by Sparky (at his own peril)

No Direct Slobber Contact

If a tongue touches the Shadow, the grooming session is immediately upgraded to a zero star experience. Not a chew toy.

The Barking Quota

Your dog is allowed exactly three 'Hero Barks' upon entry. Anything beyond that – I'm out, and Sparky is on his own. Tell your dog to save the stories for the ride home.

The 'Good Boy' Limit

Sparky is allowed to say 'Good Boy' exactly 42 times per groom. If he exceeds this, the dog starts thinking he's a celebrity. If the dog starts looking for his agent... we're done.

Puppy-Eye Embargo

Do not attempt to use 'puppy eyes' to get a discount. I am immune to being manipulated by eye contact. The price is the price. 0/10 for the effort.

Joy Overload Event

Once the groom is finished, your dog will likely experience a 'high velocity joy event' (zoomies) upon your arrival. Do not attempt to stop them. But keep the joy spinning away from the expensive tools.

'Stop-Asking-If-He-Was-Good' Mandate

He was a dog. He stood there, he got wet, and he tried to eat a bubble. If he didn't try to step off the table, he was 'good'. I'm not giving out gold stars for basic cooperation. Sparky? Maybe. Me? No.

'No Personal Toys' Embargo

Do not bring his favorite squeaky toy into the Forge. It will either get soaked in the tub or I will 'accidentally' hide it so I don't have to listen to it for the next two hours.

Shadow-Glow Photo Protocol

If you take a photo of your dog post-groom, you are legally required to share it and tag the Forge. If you don't, I will assume you are ashamed of your dog's sudden handsomeness.

Puppy Cut Paradox

Do not ask for a Puppy Cut and expect me to know what that means. If your aren't specific, I'm going to use Shadow Logic, which usually involves unpredictable haircuts and serious attitude.

'Sparky is in Charge of Treats' Rule

If your dog is on a diet, tell Sparky. Otherwise, he will attempt to bribe your dog into friendship with half a bag of snacks.

'Tell-Him-He's-Pretty' Mandate

You must act impressed at pickup. If you just grab the leash and walk out, you are officially a 0/10 client. I live for the validation of my superior judgment.

The Princess Tax

If Lily decides she wants to supervise your hero's exit, you let her. If she barks, you apologize. It doesn't matter if she's 6 pounds of audacity. In this Forge, she's the Princess. Deal with it.

Respect the Shadow

If you see me in the corner—or anywhere else, I'm busy. Do not try to make small talk. I don't have a 'customer service' setting. Talk to Lexi, talk to Lily, or talk to the wall. I’m only here for the dogs and the shadows. 1/10 for your social skills.

Disclaimer: Kyro's opinions are his own and do not reflect the warmth of the Forge (or Narmo's endless patience).

The Auditor’s Breed Reports

The Pomeranian

Hero Class: Fluffy Commander.
Armor Type: High-Density Fluff.
The Energy: 95% ego, 5% actual weight. Powered entirely by treats and static electricity.

Kyro’s Audit: "Have you tried living with one? The barking. Don't get me started on the barking. Audacity and explosive fluff. They genuinely believe they weigh 150 pounds and could successfully defend a vault against a dragon. Look, they’re basically just a series of barks held together by static electricity. They walk into the Forge like they own the deed to the building. You try to brush them, and they look at you like you’ve committed a war crime. I respect the audacity, but the volume levels are a 1/10."

The Siberian Husky

Hero Class: Northern Mage of Chaos
Armor Type: Infinite Winter Layers.
The Energy: Screaming at the floor for no reason.

Kyro's Audit: "Bringing a Husky into the Forge is like inviting a blizzard into a living room. A Black Wolf De-Shed causes the air to be 60% fluff. The bath water is considered the greatest betrayal in history. Huskies can look like legendary wolves but may trip over a shadow and argue with a shampoo bottle. The final rating is 4/10 stars. They firmly believe the high-velocity blow dryer is an illegal torture device."

The 'Doodle' (All Varieties)

Hero Class: Curly Chaos-Bringer
Armor Type: Forbidden Carpet.
The Energy: They don't stop wiggling. They’re 50% bounce, 50% fluff and 100% 'please touch me.'

Kyro’s Audit: "Doodles. The legends say they don't shed. Yeah, because their 'armor' is designed to gather every leaf, stick, and burr they’ve ever met, turning it into a solid vest of mats. And the wiggling. Don't get me started on the wiggling. It’s a bath, not an amusement park. 4/10 for home maintenance. 10/10 for high-velocity energy."

The Chihuahua

Hero Class: Trembling Assassin.
Armor Type: Shivering Shield.
The Energy: 1% Body Mass, 99% Attitude, 100% revenge.

Kyro’s Audit: "These things are basically just a pair of eyeballs and they never stop vibrating. They spend the whole bath looking at me like I’m the one who invented water specifically to ruin their lives. They don't have spirit—they have a permanent grudge. 5/10 stars. Good for keeping Sparky busy though."

The German Shepherd

Hero Class: Over-Qualified Bodyguard.
Armor Type: Double-Coated Combat Jacket.
The Energy: 100% focus, zero chill, and a permanent suspicion that the nail clippers are a threat.

Kyro’s Audit: "Sparky is obsessed with them because they actually look like 'heroes' instead of explosive cotton balls. Yeah right, he loves cotton balls. These guys are the only ones who take the 'Armor Maintenance' as seriously as I do. They sit there like they’re waiting for a medal. The only problem? Touch them with a brush and there's hair everywhere. They also have a very loud opinion on everything. 9/10 for the professionalism, 3/10 for the fur-storm they leave behind."

The Pug

Hero Class: Snorting Sentinel
Armor Type: Do they even have armor?
The Energy: Not snoring, vibrating with power.

Kyro’s Audit: "I don't know who designed this 'hero,' but they were definitely glitching that day. They have the face of someone who ran into a wall and liked it. Don't get me started on the noise they make during a bath. Lily highly dislikes them because they breathe too loudly in Sector 4 and violate her personal bubble space. They aren't legendary; they're just confused. But hey, they’re 10/10 for the 'Sass'—they look at me with those buggy eyes like I'm the weird-looking one. Whatever. 5/10 stars."

The Golden Retriever

Hero Class: Sentry of Sunshine.
Armor Type: Golden.
The Energy: 100% sunshine, zero thoughts, and a permanent tail-wag.

Kyro's Audit: "They have zero concept of personal space. Just positive energy, wet fur, and an obsession with trying to catch the flying soap bubbles. Powered entirely by sunshine, heavy panting, and a complete lack of survival instinct. They think everyone in the room is their new best friend. 3/10 for the overload of happiness."

Kyro's Override: "You have successfully read my rules and looked over my breed files. If you're planning to bring your fuzzy disaster to our gate, go buy a steel comb, check your cash inventory, and prepare for a flawless, high-precision haircut. Now stop staring at my corner and call the Forge Master to book a mission. I have a whole lot of nothing to get back to. 10/10 for completing the page. 0/10 for still lingering here."
